In official breeding ‘standards’ a colour standard for Boxers is that their white markings or “flash” should add to their look and may not cover more than one-third of the entire body. However, around 20{bc72e1fb97a6c4a561ac3f6f4802128f341596d60a2bcee3d8478dfdb01d470d} of all litters will be all or predominantly white. Sometimes advertised as ‘rare’ these white boxers were once culled for not meeting the boxer breed standard. Happily, nowadays white boxers can find themselves the centre of attention in many family homes (including my own). The personality and traits of a white boxer are the same as with any other color of boxer and you will find a wonderful friend and companion, whatever the colour of their coat!
I just had a litter of puppys and in the litter there are 2 black puppys. I didnt know that there are black boxers. Can anyone please letr me know if I am going crazy?
Some breeders are now breeding ‘black’ Boxers – this new colour defination has origanted in Germany (where boxers first were bred) and so is hard to ignore. However, it has yet to be widely accepted in many of the worldwide Boxer clubs as up until now a completely black boxer would have been a genetic impossibility, and so many do not accept these black boxers as purebred.

The “black” boxers you mentioned are actually not black. if you refer to the akc standards of the boxer breed these are acceptable & can be registered due to the fact that they are simply “reverse brindle” puppies. I have a reverse brindle male boxer puppy who is also very flashy & he is absolutely gorgeous. I also have a fawn female & I absolutely adore them! They are the best dogs I’ve ever had. 🙂
A boxer that is reverse brindle does give the appearance of black but if you look closely you can still see the fawn so it is not actually ‘black’.

i work at the mckean county spca in bradford pa and i have always loved the breed…until about four months ago when my boyfriend came home with our beautiful little boy rocko…hes six months old now and already about 50 lbs and i couldnt live with out my wedgie dog.
iv got a boy, pure white boxer he is sooo stuborn i love him to peices he is so clumsy lol he protects my family and has a foot fettish lol by the way his name is sam.

We just rescued a white boxer 3 mos ago. Delilah is white and also deaf. But she is still the best dog we could ever ask for! Since she is unable to hear, she sits on the stairs .. about half way up, so she can see out the window at the top of the door. She protects us even though she can’t hear the bad guys. Shes an absloute dream dog … even when she gets fixated on our feet!!

I love this breed. i have two boxer pups, Roxy ( white) who looks just like this one and Prince who looks just like the brindle above. How crazy this is.
i have a white boxer of a m8 he was not look after at all he is 9 mths and death but looks at us all at all time and does wat he is told by hand by 12 year old takes him too and off lead he stays at side of off all he is the best dog ever from lisa in wiltshire
I have a mostly white boxer. She has large black patches around both eyes, one ear is white with small black spots (like dalmation) the other all black, on parts of her body she has small black spots (mostly under her coat, on the skin but they show). She is the best dog, smart, playful, funny and very loving! I would like to collect figurines of similar white boxers but can’t seem to find any. Any suggestions?

I have a 5 month old white boxer called Charley Bucket and she is the most adorable thing in the world. I had a 13 yr old fawn boxer called Foxy Roxy who sadly passed away earlier this yr. We also have a boxer bulldog mix called Delboy who is also white. I wanted a white boxer and was so lucky to get her but am very disappointed that they are not recognised anywhere be it in calenders or figurines etc. I wouldn’t swap her for the world even if she does take up most of the sofa and bed.
I have a 6 month old boxer / brindle / She is absolutely beautiful! She is very high energy and is constantly fighting with my other dog who is not a boxer and is around 5 years old.
Although she doesn’t go to the bathroom anywhere in my house other then the basement, I am having about enough of it.
Even with all the toys bones and chew toys she is chewing my walls. She actually chewed a hole in the middle of the basement wall last night.
She doesn’t chew or use the washroom anywhere but in the basement. I fear I will never get to finish my basement.

we had a white boxer called annie she lived a good old age of 15…she was my best friend it was the first time i had a white i had grown up with brindles so i knew the breed well…but Annie was 1 in a million she stopped my young son from falling down the stairs once and when the kids grew up and started going out in the evenings she wouldnt go to bed until they were in we used to call her Nanny from peterpan i personally prefer white boxers there is just something more special about there character. When annie died that same evening a litter was born at boxer kennels up the road and in the litter were 2 whites, the breeder had stopped breeding over 10yrs ago but couldn’t resist one last litter i ended up with one of the whites and he’s now 4mths old and doing great i only wish sometimes that annie was here to see him..as she would have adored him.

i never understood why white boxers are not notised. i have a white boxer called brook hes 3yrs old hes all white with 2 brown patches 1 on his head and 1 on his back hes just amazin, never known a dog like him he lets himself out for wee in back garden he makes me laugh least few times a day always there for me turely amazin dog 🙂
white boxers are the best!!!! we just found this post today- those are our dogs Loki and Occam, both amazing. I’m very sorry to say that Loki (the white one) at 9 yrs succumbed to cancer today. But that’s by no means anything to do with him being white. He had the most amazing personality and we look forward to having another white boxer in our lives.

We just got two white boxer puppies & they are fantastic together. The girl (Holly) is deaf & follows her brother around (Henry). Was only going to get one dog but with these two being the last of the litter I didn’t want to break them up as they have such a strong bond. Best decision we made wouldn’t change them for the world.
Hi, I just got an all white boxer and her name is Roxy. She has little black/brown spots under her coat and she is almost 2yrs old. She loves my feet and loves to sleep in my bed(and kick me out of it). I love it!!! Although I am used to Great Danes and Labs and most Large dogs, Roxy is the best ever!!

I have a 5 year old White Boxer called Charlie. He has grown up with my 7 yr old Grandson Dylan. As soon as he realises Dylan has the lead he suddenly stops pulling. He opens doors, rattles his water bowl if empty, can uproot a fully grown pampas grass in less than 20 minutes. We love having him around he’s the best dog in the world. To cap it all hes over 90lb so its a good job we have a spare sofa in the living room

This White boxer is incredibly smart, affectionate, daring and genuine. A humans ultimate companion – as are all boxers/mastiffs . I am so fortunate !!!

Have just been offered 12 week old white boxer but she is deaf also have 4 year old male boxer plus dalmation aged 6 lost my best friend 11 year old boxer late last year not sure about the white boxer cause she is deaf would sort of like the dog to hear its name and thought of my old boxer as a girlfriend you could tell secrets to .

Our fawn male and female had a litter of 8 puppies on february 18th,2012.
3 were all white males and the other five are awn females who look just like mom and dad. I’m happy to say that I’m keepin a white male and my boyfriend is also interested in a male. We are excited about all of our puppies and can wait to see them grow. It’s an exhausting process but never less, absolutely precious watch the birth of them all.. And to watch as the develop and grow into fun, exciting boxer dogs!
Missy is nearly 2 and is a white Boxer and is my raison d”etre. She has started licking the wooden floor until enough of her fallen hair makes a furball big enough to make herself sick. I vaccuum 3 times a day but once she gives a shake, its back. Shes in good health and well fed and walked miles everyday. Has anyone come across this behavior before and should I be concerned ?

Someone today said that my white boxer was a Dogo Argentino, NO SHE’S NOT, but they didn’t believe me …. and as they are “supposed” to be dangerous … they thought I should not have her … she is soooooooooooooo soft and gentle …. as are most boxers ….
We have a 16 week white male called cooper and he is the nicest chilled out puppy iv ever met we always had jack Russell’s in the past and as nice as they are cooper is by far already the better dog! He loves playing with my 19month and 6 year Los and he too has a foot fetish he don’t leave their feet alone already he has a stubborn attitude and very cleverly tell me when he wants water top ups and toilet time outside! Best decision we ever made getting him we specifically asked for a white boxer and wouldn’t change him for the world!!
I LOVED my white boxer girl, Lily. She was really unusual, 105 lbs, and was the sweetest girl in the world. She passed away, and I miss her every day. I can highly recommend any sort of boxer for a family dog – I still have a wonderful brindle girl, HiJinx, and even at 10 she still is up to all sorts of “HiJinx” LOL. Lily’s best pal was Peanut, the 5 lb maltese who was missing his back feet – he came from a puppy farm rescue and had them chewed off, but he still had part of one pad and used that to run and play on all his life. The were quite a site together, Peanut and Lily!
